Thief DS Score - Ripped & Mixed
- 12:56:51 PM - Dan
While visiting ION Storm I was promised a Thief DS Soundtrack. They said it would be put on the official site. Well, it looks like that's not going to happen, so I made my own. The Thief DS Score has been added to The Circle's (new) music section. (And thanks to Cascade for Deus Ex Sound Drone.) While most of these can't really be called music, I mixed together and posted anything I thought the fans would enjoy listening to. We finally have a solid collection of Eric Brosius's audio work. Rejoice!

Discuss!

FM: Delford Abbey - Updated
- 1:01:48 PM - Jenesis
Speesh has released a new version of "Delford Abbey" which fixes many crash-causing bugs, plus a few other things. Also, some unnecessary data has been removed from the zip file, so this new version is, happily, over 3MB smaller than the old one!

Thief 2 Fan Mission
Delford Abbey (v2)

 Filesize: 12.5 MB
 Released: 4/14/2005
 readme.txt

By: Speesh

Plot Description: Delford Abbey is a small Church located in more of the outskirts of town. Their main source of income are some catacombs that stretch throughout different parts of the City. The catacombs are their main source of income, for they charge a lot to buy space down there. There had been some sort of cave in or something like that and they had to close it down for reapairs. But a few days ago, they reopened them. This is a good opportunity to get some loot, for the City watch are really on to me and it's hard make anything without losing it these days. Rumor also has it that in their area of the catacombs, one of the Master Forgers or something like that is supposed to be buried with a scepter. While I am in there, I am going to prove this rumor true or false. However in the few days that it has been opened, the undead have been getting restless down there. This has caused a quarantine from the rest of the city. This wouldn't be a problem, except the City Watch found all of my equipment. However the church is somewhat small and should not be a problem for me.

Additional Comments: Requires Gaylesaver's scripts.

Thanks for the swift update, Speesh!

FMs, some old, some new
- 5:14:39 PM - Jenesis
As well as three new FMs, we also have three re-releases for you. First, the new missions...
"A Water Arrow In The Fire" is a raid in which Garrett hopes to swipe a large diamond. Created by Flecha das Sombras.
Jeremy Catlin (HipBreaker) has produced "Insurrection", in which the dead are rising in such numbers that Garrett faces the possibility of not having anyone alive to whom he can sell his loot.
Finally, "Delford Abbey" by Speesh is another undead mission, though this time our thief has only himself to blame as he heads into some catacombs.

Two of the re-releases go back a long way. An unfinished Thief Gold mission, "Mine Shock" by JIS, has been completed by Vlad Midnight nearly four years after the original was produced.
"Chronicle of the Metal Age: Chapter 1" by Sir Balu has been updated with a few fixes, and has also had a briefing movie added. The mission zip now weighs in at 34.5MB, including the movie.
Finally, the much more recent "Happy New Year Mister Lambert!" by Gaëtane now has a German translation.

Thief 2 Fan Mission
Water Arrow In The Fire, A

 Filesize: 3.31 MB
 Released: 4/14/2005
 readme.txt

By: Flecha das Sombras

Plot Description: You have received some information about Lord Amerirom's mansion. He doesn't like electric lights, so there are only torches in his mansion. This mean that water arrows will be very useful. He has a huge vault and there are rumours of a big diamond inside it. So you have a job to do!

Thief 2 Fan Mission
Insurrection (v1.3)

 Filesize: 16.1 MB
 Released: 4/14/2005
 readme.txt

By: Jeremy Catlin (HipBreaker)

Plot Description: Lately the Undead have risen out of their graves and massed what seems to be an organized army and are taking over the city. This can be a problem for you because what is the point of stealing when everyone is dead? So, a local Lord, Leonard Krauft, has gotten hold of an antidote for when anyone gets bitten by an Undead. You figure that this would come in handy and it is worth a lot, considering he is only selling them to the highest bidders. You also hear that a scientist discovered the reasoning behind the invasion, and that it may have to do with the recent comet that almost hit Earth. Starting in the almost over-run city, find out what you can and get what you need. The nearly abandoned city, either dead or running, could use your help, but in turn you need them to live as well. Stop this insurrection, and make a profit while you are at it.

New Small FMs
- 8:02:12 AM - Jenesis
In contrast to the recent spate of almost gargantuan FMs, this crop is on a much smaller scale, well-suited to a quick gaming break. Starting with the smallest and working up, then, we begin with "The Cell Next Door" (0.69MB) by Frank Mitchell, in which Garrett must escape from a Hammerite cell after a tip-off got him arrested.

Next is "A Small Blackout" (1.41MB) by Joseph Foy, where Garrett's plans for a break-in require a bit of preparatory work first.

Finally, Gregorius kicks off a new campaign with "Dancing With The Dead Pt1: A Rift In The Loot" (3.22MB), which begins with a trip to the graveyard.

Thief 2 Fan Mission
Cell Next Door, The

 Filesize: 0.69 MB
 Released: 4/2/2005
 readme.txt

By: Frank Mitchell

Plot Description: I had an easy job planned for tonight, meet Jersak at the Broken Barrel for a pint, split the loot we got from the Hightowne Museum job, and leave quietly out the back door.

Unfortunately, someone must have tipped the Hammers off to my being there, because they showed up shortly after I did. So now I'm in a cell in some nasty little basement, and it looks like Jersak is in the cell next door. I've got no idea if he managed to stash the loot before he was nabbed, or if he was the one who sold me out in the fist place.

Guess it's time to get out of here, get some questions answered, and get my money back.

Thief 2 Fan Mission
Small Blackout, A (v1.1)

 Filesize: 1.41 MB
 Released: 4/2/2005
 readme.txt

By: Joseph Foy

Plot Description: Basso said that St. Johnny has alot of money. But the locks are unpickable. So I need a key. He also said that there is a key that Dan, a fellow thief, has. I need to get the key from him. He and all the city knows your reputation. He will probably give you the key. (hard) He also got lockpicks so grab thim. They will probably are worth the same as your pair you have. (expert) He broke in a mechanist house and stoled a statue; so grab it from him.

Thief 2 Fan Mission
Dancing With The Dead Pt 1: A Rift In The Loot

 Filesize: 3.22 MB
 Released: 4/2/2005
 readme.txt

By: Gregorius

Plot Description: A kid came to my house this evening:
- Mister Garrett? I've got a message for you: "Come to St. Orbis cemetery before sunrise. You won't regret it."
- Who told you that? - I was curious.
- Mr Grim. And... he told me you would give me a coin...
- What? Take this and go to your mother!

Interesting? Who is this 'Grim'? I think I've heard this name recently. I have nothing to do now... I'm going to take a look.

Many thanks, all three of you :)
