EastwaterBankWalk.htm EastwaterBankLoot.rtf |
By: Yandros (Russ Robbins) Plot Description: "My best fence just tipped me off that the Eastwater branch of First City Bank has recently acquired three valuable artifacts, which they're keeping in their vault. Since the rent's due, this place seems as good as any to hit for some stuff to pawn off for the needed cash. I managed to get some information about the bank from a guy I know who used to bank there. He said most of the floors are marble, which means I'd better take some earth crystals. Also, all the lights in the place are electric, so water crystals would probably be useless. Good thing, since I'm out of them anyway. Finally, he said the front doors are always well lit, well guarded and well locked.... so I'm counting on being able to find another way in. The area around the bank is secured with city gates after nightfall, but that shouldn't be a problem for me. I'll slip over a wall as soon as it's good and dark...." By: THEthief (Rachel Ford) Plot Description: "Count Richmond, one of the wealthiest men in existence, is throwing a surprise, weekend-long, party, starting this evening, in honor of his daughter, Theresa's, engagement - a surprise to Theresa, that is; most everyone else is aware of it. Myself included - Jenivere works as a maid to Count Richmond, and slipped out a list of invited guests, which she passed onto me... The list is long, and only the very wealthy are invited...but I'm sure Count Richmond won't mind if I drop in for a quick 'visit' - after all, once I'm done 'visiting', I certainly won't be hurting for cash... Getting in should be easy - there's a large tree outside the gate - with a branch that extends over the wall; the front entrance guards retire at 10:00...that'll be my cue. A collection of the richest people in the world will be there, along with their favorite jewels, each trying to out-do the other, with displays of wealth - and, let's not forget the lavish presents Theresa will be given! Also security is unbelievably low...if I didn't know better, I'd say this was too good to be true..." Additional Comments: FM Contest 4 entry

By: Kfort (Katy Fortner) Plot Description: My most embarrassing moment? Hmm, let me think. Well, there was this one time ... but I'd rather not talk about it. *Sigh* Well, if you insist. It all started with a letter. A job offer - from an old hermit woman of all things. She said she had "an offer I couldn't refuse" and that I was the only thief that could pull it off. Her name was Hester - a reclusive widow who live alone on the edge of Blackwood Forest. Rumor had it that she was a little crazy and my first instinct was to simply throw the letter away. After all, I'm not usually hired by penniless widows! However, if this business has taught me anything, it is the value of taking calculated risks. I figured it couldn't hurt to check out her offer. Worst case scenario, I would waste a few hours travel time and have to deal with some cazy lady. If the offer was for real, I'd have rent for several months and little extra for my retirement fund. I figured it was worth the risk . . . too bad I was wrong. At any rate, Hester had asked me to meet her at her home to discuss the details. So off I rode to her little hovel in the woods, prepared for one old woman - or so I thought! What happened next is not for the faint of heart . . . . Additional Comments: FM Contest 4 entry

By: Garett Choy (Kung Fo Gecko) Plot Description: Last month a bright streak lit up the night sky, brighter than any falling star I've seen. Whatever it was, it crashed far out in the south desert. Two days later rumors began to buzz around the city that it was no star, but a flying machine made by men who come from the stars. Sounds ridiculous to me. I didn't put further thought to it till now...(more) Additional Comments: FM Contest 1 - 64 Cube third place

By: Komag (Ben Ramsey) Plot Description: You have often had strange dreams. Dreams take you away from the grime and death on the streets, whether you welcome the departure or not. Tonight, it would seem you had too much to drink before bed, because you have dreamed of a large twisting waterslide (and we all know what that means!). But you figure you might as well have a little dreamland fun while you're there. And as is often the case, there is a mysterious little ring that for some reason recurs as the symbolic exit of your dreams. When you feel like waking up, just find and grab the ring.
